Description
The milled range of Pharmatose is pharmaceutical a-lactose monohydratew which is milled to varying degrees of fineness. The available grades differ in their particle size distributions. Milled lactose does not tend to flow well, but its relatively high surface area means that it is highly compactable. Milled lactose is therefore used primarily in wet granulation applications for tablets and capsules and for spheres made by extrusion-spheronisation. DFE Pharma offers milled lactose under the product names Lactochem® and Pharmatose®.
